OkCupid Survivor Group 12 years, 2 months ago I had a previous profile where I chose “bisexual” because the options are so limited, and then I got a ton of skeevy guys messaging me about sex, which … ick. I’m creating a new profile and just going with “gay” since I’m more attracted to girls anyway and I’m sick of getting cyber-jumped by creeps.
OKC has added a feature recently where gay and bi users can keep straight people from viewing our pages, so if you’re mainly there for girls but not 100% lesbian that is another option.
It’s weird, though, I’m bi but have myself looking for “girls who like girls” and say I’m more interested in girls but not closed to guys if we have a lot in common. I thought this would screen out the randoms and creeps and just give me the guys I actually like. Instead, it did the exact opposite. The respectful ones are too respectful, the jerks just can’t take “no” for an answer.
Yeah, I checked off that option this time around, and it’s sooo much better.
The creeps are infinitely more persistent than the respectful ones. :/
