I finally signed up for an account in order to join this group… I’m a current PCV in Burkina Faso. I work in the domain of community health, but I also teach English due to a lack of staff at my village’s secondary school (I’m finding it difficult not to write in franglais). I love it doing this and being here, although it’s hard, it’s dirty, I want pizza, and I can’t wait to go back to the U.S. in August so I can be SUPER fucking gay! Figured out that shit since being in country… feels a little stifling, but I have a ton of support from queer and non-queer PCVs alike.

How do you all feel about coming out to host country nationals? I really want to, but I need to test the waters more with certain people before I put myself out there.
