Eastown is a fairly cheap and fun neighborhood to live in, lots of college students, coffee shops and bars. And it’s close to downtown. It’s mostly big houses broken up into apartments.

I can do Friday after I get out of work (11pm) or anytime Saturday or Sunday. Not sure about the 4th yet due to family events, etc. What works for you Emma?

Friday works, Saturday works, and Sunday works. I have to be to work in GR on Tuesday morning so Monday probs won’t work. It sounds like Sunday night is free for all of us?

Just read Jenna’s post and I miss my best friend in Traverse City and I miss my favorite places like the Dunes, the Bluebird for a whitefish sandwich and driving around M-22.

no even tho my friend and I went up and down Front like tourists last time because it had been so long since we had been in the stores but I am going to check it out next time I go up.

It is definitely a store worth going into. Mostly clothing though.

Traxx has gotten better. At least on Saturday nights. I mostly go just to dance and not meet people. But you are right. The people my age are harder to find for sure here. Traxx is still a total sausage fest but it can be fun on Saturdays. When I lived right in town I would go there before they started charging and play pool with friends until I felt like dancing. And they make really strong drinks, so they’ve got that going for them. ;)

I was actually surprised that last saturday night there were more gay women than men there. Because you are right. It usually is a sausage fest. But I think it is turning around. Scotty makes some hella strong drinks. Could barely drink my long island.

whut. I mean, I haven’t been there in about 6 months but I can’t recall ever seeing more than a handful of queer(looking) women. I always end up dancing with gay boys. I’m sad I missed the party!

I’ve heard of it! I remember that when I went to Blue Lake there were always lots of campers from Traverse City. And this one guy in my committee for a Model UN conference. He was a douche, though.
