Does anyone here go to or know someone who goes to the U of Chicago (grad or undergrad)? I’ve just been accepted to a grad school program there. But UChi has a reputation for being super serious and relatively conservative…I’m wondering if this is exaggerated or true. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey! I am an fourth year undergrad at UChicago but I know a lot of grad students here. I think what you’ve heard about the school stems from two places that you (probably) won’t have to worry about as a grad student. I already made a decision, but thanks for the advice anyway, Kelsey. I love the city of Chicago but decided to attend the University of Michigan after visiting both places. Ann Arbor is boring compared to Chicago, but it’s a cool and mellow place full of ridiculously nice, inspiring and liberal people.
