Yay knitting is cool. I’m making a blanket for my sister at the moment (it was going to be a slanket but that seemed a bit difficult). I meant to finish it and give it to her last Christmas but now Christmas and her birthday have passed so she will get it this Christmas (if she’s lucky). I’m joining in anticipation of my new knitting skills -atm I can make a scarf. I’ve got a break from uni for the next couple months though, so I’m gonna be getting my knit on :) Mittens? Seriously, that shit looks tricky. I’m up for anything though. Esp the perfect homo sweatervest.

I just started learning too! I am halfway through my first scarf :)
I have a newbie question. I have two colors in my scarf and I learned via Youtube how to put the second color on…but I don’t know what to do with the dangly bit that’s left over when I’m changing between colors? So right now my scarf looks like it’s eaten a bunch of mice or something.-
I stitch them into the scarf, along the row that’s the right colour. I don’t know if that’s the right thing to do – help us pls knitting gurus! OR you could just knot the ends and make it tassel-y at the sides. It’d be *ahem* individual, and somewhat tom baker-esque…

Contrabass is right. Just use a tapestry needle to weave the end into your scarf. :)

Yay. Thanks to both of you! I will attempt to de-mouse my scarf after work today :D

Good luck!
