We Love Documentaries 12 years, 4 months agoI just watched a recent BBC documentary about the extent of child poverty in the UK called Poor Kids. It was interesting in an angering and upsetting kind of way. The whole thing can be found on youtube if anyone’s interested.

We Love Documentaries 12 years, 4 months agoDid anyone watch the Two Spirits thing that was on PBS last night? Super powerful documentary about the Navajo belief about trans* people and the murder of a teen boy who was two spirited.
-
I heard about that one. Have yet to watch about a billion docs, but definitely added to the list.
-
I stayed up late watching the Doping For Gold episode of Secrets of the Dead and then stayed up even later when this came on right after it. I agree, it was really powerful, and I found the history behind Two Spirits to be fascinating. Fred’s story really broke my heart. His mom had me crying, especially at the end.
-
I was a faucet by the end. When his mother was talking about the dream she had… It was too much.
-
-
I DVR’d it, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to watch it yet. I know I’m going to cry A LOT.
