Planning on Bolivia or Morocco in 2014, potentially both if the timing works out :)
I really want to go to Eastern Europe – Ukraine, Albania, Serbia, Croatia. I’d love to just travel around them taking the time to visit places not many people get to go.
Alex – Eastern Europe is a so the way to go! Much cheaper than Western Europe for starters. I spent some time in Croatia, Bosnia and Slovenia – highly recommend them. Sarejevo is an incredibly welcoming city with a fascinating political history (and very safe). It’s got a great cafe culture, a huge gay dance club and is really easy to get around. In Slovenia, Ljubljana, the capital, is full of art and greenery. They have an epic city bike share program too which helps you get around. And even a lesbian bar which you know is a total score.
Mac – Such different places! But what a score if both of those would work out. Would love to hear your experiences there if you end up going to either.
Hi! Just want 2 say E/Centr. Europe is great. Last year this time I was in lovely Trogir, Croatia. I hope to re-visit briefly this Apr/May. also, 2nd on Slovenia, its lovely & eco-friendly i really luv Budapest, tho, its a great city, esp. 4 arch.
Ah it’s like we did the same itinerary nearly! Loved Budapest as well. Wish the States had the giant, warm bathing houses like Hungary. :)
Definitely Europe – we’re planning to go to France, England and Italy, but I’d love to see Spain, Portugal, Hungary, some Eastern European places – basically just Europe! South America too, I’ll definitely go there at some point in my life.
