Any advice on subtly outing myself at work? It has literally never come up, but I work at a high school and I want to be a role model without…

Could you, at the right time, just mention that you are going to an LGBT event? or belong to a LGBT advocacy group? It is a conversation starter.

I’ve found it works best just when people start talking about boyfriends and husbands just to bring up a girlfriend in the past/present.

Single in Ladysmith, BC (that’s south of Nanaimo, north of Duncan if you know the area…). I spend my days knitting, watching movies, making food and being the paperwork bitch. At a party or a concert, I jump at the opportunity to dance :)
