Hi writers! I decided in December that 2019 was the year I wrote my feminist dystopia. 5 months later I am still writing but this shit is HARD. Anyone have insights/advice/commiserations about triggering yourself while you write the real shit?

Hey!
I’m Nele.
I’m studying geography in germany and for a little research project I’m interested in how virtual spaces are used to explore and express identities. Autostraddle helps me finding out how a community is able to create a ‘safe space’ for this exploring and expressing and which distances and boundaries can dissolve in the web. -

Hoooo I have done that! Uh, my best advice is to ride it all the way out — don’t stop halfway unless you really have to. Writing the Real Shit is catharsis, right? Or at least it’s supposed to be. Have a soft place to land at the end of it, set aside some hours, and commit to a teeth-gritting time.
That’s what I think, anyway.
