Did you always “know,” deep down, that you liked the ladies, and just denied it to yourself? Or did you first feel attracted to women when you reached your late twenties? (I’m not judging! I’m just curious and making conversation and stuff.)

Now that I look back I realize that I had crushes on girls but back in the day I thought it was perfectly normal to feel so protective of my best friend. That’s what friendship is! Yeah, right. I was totally in love with girls, I just didn’t know it.

You’re totally right, in my opinion. I get where people tend to think that they’re related, but that’s because they take what has become a societal norm and assume it’s genetic, like a person’s genitalia. What people don’t realize is that if they went to a different society, they’d find things to be completely different.

It really frustrates me that these issues/terminology aren’t widely known or accepted.
