You guyssss, I think I really like this girl at work, but we are both sooo painfully shy/awkward that we don’t really talk at all in real life :( We sort of work in different departments, too, which makes it even more difficult. HOW DO I PUSH THROUGH THIS CRIPPLING ANXIETY. she is really cute and a confirmed gay and I think she’s into me, too. we talk online a fair amount. I’ve invited her to some parties but she’s never able to go :( i think maybe she’s just not into party scenes? or does this mean she doesn’t want to hang out with me?
Well, my advice would be to invite her out to a place with a mellower atmosphere. Personally, if a girl – even one I was interested in – invited me to a party where I probably wouldn’t know anybody, I’d probably decline. Especially when I’m not into the partying scene.
I’d suggest something casual ie: seeing a movie featuring some hot actress at a local theater.Since you’re in contact with each other on a regular basis, it shows that she’s at least interested in getting to know you as a person. Take a gradual step to the next level. It doesn’t even have to be an official date – and as such, it’d be okay to ask her to said casual activity over the internets…
