omg you can have an lgbtq focus in library school? every time i start dreaming about being a librarian i envision having some kind of focus on lit of/for under-represented groups.

We had a token Republic Roman Catholic dad in one of my classes, and he pulled a lot of BUT WHAT ABOUT US and my classmates gentle reminded him that it wasn’t all about him, and that tailoring curriculum and classroom libraries to every parents’ set of morals was a slippery slope to accepting the parents who think interracial marriage is immoral….

Hi, I’m an archivist for a UN entity I refer to as (Clap Clap) NGO. If you are American, you probably collected quarters for us at Halloween.

i get up, i get dressed…oh, you mean at work! :) i divide my day between ordering books, reading professional literature, maintaining the teenspace at my particular location (i’m coordinator for all eight branches, but get to play at one), and if i have a program that evening, i get set up for it.
