Hey, in book 2 Harry and Ron did have to defeat the horcrux themselves because Hermione was petrified. Although, her research before that still helped them.

Science Fictional 12 years, 5 months agoKay, for me it was Stranger in a Strange Land that did it first, but we all have science fiction books that made us go “HOLY FUCKSHIT” loudly and embarassingly in a public place or around relations, and/or get goosebumps. I miss that, and I’ve exhausted the library around here. Any suggestions?

I don’t know how you feel about short fiction, but Ted Chiang’s collection Story of Your Life and Others is amazing.

Oh and also? Anything by Samuel Delany. My favorite is Babel 17. (Bonus: He is super gay and has an amazing beard. The face kind, not the fake wife kind.)
