I’m not in love with the shows coming out this season, but I’m watching Hanasaku Iroha, Anohana, and Maria+Holic.-
I’m watching Zipang. It’s like the anime version of Lost. It’s neat.
I have anime to watch from years ago so I’ve no idea what’s been going on recently.
And I only watch anime that have really good ratings.

So I love to be reassured that I’m not the only girly girl out there and not the only one who faces: “you’re too pretty to be gay” “or no you’re not.” when I tell someone I like ladies.

I KNOW RIGHT, I can like to coordinate my eyeliner to my sundress and still like teh ladies! And the too pretty argument, UGH UGH UGH. You’re too ugly to be straight.

One of the best compliments I ever got was from a butch who noticed that I coordinated my eyeliner to my nail polish and the accent color in my scarf. Fear now, folk who appreciate this are out there!

augh, this drives me mad every time someone tells me this. my best friend’s parents actually think it’s just a phase specifically because i’m “too pretty” to like women. what kind of logic is that? fffff get out and shut the door when you leave.

hey, im in the same boat, the “too pretty” thing is a popular come back if i tell someone im gay but theres also the “aw, such a waste” – i wana say , wtf?? to most of those ppl but i hate confrontation and just sorta roll with the punches. i needa get a back bone installed! lol

Oh my god, my old boss (who is female!!!!) once told me it was ‘such a waste’ that Portia de Rossi is gay. I just kind of gaped at her, but I wish I’d asked her what the hell she meant, because I never understand that crap.

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who worries about the way I dress affecting whether or not people believe that I’m not attracted to men. I mean, I hope I’m never self-centered enough to think I’m the “only one who…” anything, but still, nice to see confirmation.

Eep, the only picture I have as me as Kouya, I’m behind someone else with my hand on my face so I don’t know if you still want to see it (though its a rather comical photo). Come to think of it, I don’t really have many pics of me cosplaying, since my friends are always the ones with cameras.

If I had to choose a fav senshi I’d have to go with either Sailor Moon or Sailor Venus. The manga is definitely better than the anime. People still don’t believe me when I tell them how dark it is compared to the show. I’m excited the manga being reissued too, and that they’re finally translating the Sailor V manga too.

I know! I’ve been talking about that for years. It legitimately frightened me when I was a child.
I was always a Sailor Neptune fan. I really like all of them, but lately I’ve started realizing how much I learned from Sailor Moon. How to take bad grades with dignity, for one. XD

Sailor Moon is one of the defining shows of my childhood. I’m actually rewatching it as I get the time. And I love me some Panty & Stocking.

If you haven’t already you should watch the watch the Sailor Stars season, I think its by far the best one. I can’t wait for the next season of Panty and Stocking especially given how the last one ended.

I’m usually stuck between declaring R and Stars as the best season. My favorite senshi was Sailor Saturn, and she got a lot of screentime in R— but the Starlights were really a lot of fun. (And no Mamoru!)

I know no Mamoru was my fav part of the stars season. Sailor Star Fighter was a much better romantic interest. That scene where she asked “I’m i not good enough?” was just heart breaking.

I’m a sailor moon fan, I watched the first 1-2 seasons in Japanese. But then my mum got massively into it and it sort of just killed it for me.
But I totally watched it as a kid but hated the english dub. I actually watched the cantonese dub as a kid.

I fucking love Sailor Moon. Uranus and Neptune are still my avatar on AfterEllen. I watched it a lot as a kid, and re-discovering the manga recently played a big part in urging me to come out.
