I’m (semi) frantically trying to finish Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows so I have enough time to digest it and kind of forget some of it before seeing the final movie next month. It’s my first re-read of the book and I kind of forgot how much happens. I’m also surprised at how much more emotion I’m getting out of it now that I’ve come back to it after having a few more years’ experience. I don’t remember paying that much attention to Ron/Hermione’s relationship the first time around but it’s a huge part of the book for me this time. I’m about half-way through and hope to finish it in another week or two. After that I think I’m going to delve into Malinda Lo’s new one, Huntress.

    • I started rereading Philosopher’s Stone yesterday with the ultimate goal of being finished the whole series over the next two weeks. I hear you on the emotion thing! Even just this first book had me, like, totally overcome with feelings or something.

      • I know! ALL THE FEELINGS!

your plan is quite ambitious! I’m over here worrying I won’t be able to finish half a book in that time and you’re planning to read seven. good luck! and keep us updated :)

    • I use to re-read all the books that were out every time the newest book was about to be released. I thought about doing it again for the last movie but I think I will just stick to book 7. You guys, when it’s over I am going to cry SO HARD.

      • I don’t even want to think about it. I’m going to feel so empty! I hope I find something soon to fill the HP void.

    • I loved Ash too! I also may or may not have pawned it off to a bunch of my queer friends. :)

    • huntress is soooo good, you guys. i can’t even…

    • I re-read the series (or some of them) every summer. I read them for many different reasons. However, I really need an escape recently and finished re-reading Deathly Hallows in two days. How scary is THAT? When I get in the zone though, it doesn’t even feel like reading anymore and I zoom through it.

      • I re-read them every couple years or so.

can you lend me some of your speed-reading skills? I’m in dire need, I want to get this book read!
