Tumblr pointed out to me that all the characters in the movie had emotions with gender presentations that matched those characters gender, except for the main character, Riley. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but in watching previews online, I noticed the exact same thing, and almost immediately headcanoned Riley as bi-gender. Don’t know if the filmmakers intended it or not (given their paymasters’ track record with queer issues, I’m going *not*), but it’s pretty obvious to me.
