Ohhh! Canada 11 years, 6 months agoI live in NYC but I speak to people in Canada often on the phone for work. Almost every day I want to tell a woman I am speaking to how cute her accent is, but I think that would be pretty inappropriate and most likely awkward. I am here to tell all you lovely Canadians you have wonderful accents…hopefully it is not awkward.

We Love Documentaries 11 years, 7 months agoToday, I watched the 1967 CBS documentary “the homosexuals” and I feel like screaming. I bookmarked it a long time ago thinking it’s might be interesting from a history point of view. In 1967 my parents were kids and my grandparents were adults, it’s not such a long time ago and everything they say seems so archaic but at the same not that…[Read more]

The Great Library of Autostraddle 11 years, 7 months agoJust finished Tigers and Devils by Sean Kennedy – really cute love story about two guys in Melbourne, and the twist is that one of them’s in the closet because he’s a professional football player… I wasn’t sure about it at first, but it turned out to be really sweet, and a generally uplifting story.

The Great Library of Autostraddle 11 years, 8 months agoI just finished reading The Marriage Plot by Jeffrey Eugenides, which I thought was pretty good. Not particularly gay, but an interesting story nontheless (if you like Jonathan Franzen type books).
