Suddenly my partner’s “supportive” family is looking pretty goddamn homophobic, and I have no idea what this means for our future. She is very close to them, and has let them emotionally berate her into submission her entire life…and so even though she recognizes it right now and is pissed and hurt about it, I worry that she won’t stay angry, and that eventually she’ll just forgive and forget. Where does that leave me?
