Yeah I know bad lesbian, but those of you who have ever cropped your hair will understand how things slip one’s mind. Is there no grad student queer org? (start one?) Also, you could volunteer at a local queer org and meet people off campus that way!

I’ve kinda established myself as a grad student in the group and don’t hang out with the members much outside of GSA stuff (with the exception of a few – who actually are mostly other grads). That’s neat. I feel like I’m not knowledgeable enough to be an advisor! But I can definitely be (or rather, I guess I already am) a nerdy queer in the corner :D I emailed the group and apparently they don’t have meetings or anything, just random events scattered around the year, so we’ll see how it goes.

Allow me to suggest a bar meet-up at the Bigfoot Lodge West. We had the last meeting at the other one and got to the conclusion that the Venice Blvd, between Overland and Sepulveda was more convenient.
