Boy you really face a thing or two in quarantine. I’m in my early thirties and impossibly late to the party, but you have to start somewhere? I’m not straight! It’s daunting to figure that under the best of circumstances, but geez do I not have a single clue how to move forward with this especially during social distancing and with no queer friends. So hey, online world! *waves timidly.

    • Hey, I’m starting to think that there’s going to be a lot of us COVID-queers bumbling about when things finally get back to normal. I had the fortune/misfortune to accidentally come out to my Mum just before the stay-at-home order was passed for my area. Since then I’ve been aimlessly wandering around the internet trying to find somewhere welcoming where I could just be around others openly. The most useful thing I’ve learned throughout this is: Age is just a number. You can learn that you’re not straight at whatever time is right for you. Just think about all the life experiences you’ve got under your belt that someone in their teens or twenties hasn’t had yet. Finding out that you’re not straight doesn’t erase all that, it just gives you access to another piece of the incredibly interesting puzzle that is your life. Hang in there, and know that you are not alone 🙂
