Cool, I find that kind of syn fascinating – when did you find out what synesthesia actually is? It was only a few years ago for me.
I actually clicked on this group because I had no idea what it was (and I click on things like that, which usually is a bad idea on the internet because what has been seen cannot be unseen) and then I googled. And read things. And when I got to this part I realized I had a name for what I’ve been doing my whole life, which was very nice. My teachers didn’t get it and kind of discouraged it, but it helped me with math, which I inherently dislike.
That’s how I figured out my synesthesia too! I was just randomly reading about it on Wikipedia, having already become acquainted with the grapheme-color and sound-color kind through reading this book called A Mango-Shaped Space – and then I got to the part about number-form and I’m like “wait…I DO THAT!”
