Femme Straddlers 8 years, 1 month agoAny advice for looking queer while still embracing femme-ness? Is it even worth it to try to “look queer” if you’re not actively looking for a lady romantic interest? I feel vaguely uncomfy with the idea of people assuming I’m straight.

I just be myself and wear what I want but act queer – no matter whether you have on heels or Docs, or a v neck or body con dress, the flirty prolonged eye contact trick generally gives us away! ;)
I think doing different looks with you hair can really make a difference :)
I think it’s still worth it to look queer (if you want to) even if you’re not actively looking. I know for my part that I base a lot of how comfortable I feel in a place on how visible queer and other minoritized people are.
