Just finished Full Frontal Feminism by Jessica Valenti (270 pages).
It was good, but I got kind of bored in some parts because it kept telling me statistics that I already knew, and there were also some parts I just plain wasn’t interested in. However, the vast majority of the book was fast paced and interesting, full of really interesting and super important facts about equality, inequality, feminism and sexism and everything. Noticeably lacking in the gay department, but she did try to add us in every once in a while – she was writing from her own experience, so I didn’t expect a lesbian handbook.
If you know any teenage girls, GIVE THIS TO THEM RIGHT NOW. It’s a Summer Solstice Present. They need it.
