TravelStraddle 9 years, 7 months ago Is anyone on this site also a member of the Couchsurfing society? I’m looking into travelling from Portugal through Spain and France to London over about two months from March, and I’d love to catch up with anyone in the area, or even just to friend people on the site who aren’t anywhere near where I’m planning to go. It’d be nice to meet some ‘Straddlers en route and see their home cities through their eyes.
Alex are you traveling the world right now? You’ve got some seriously good travel plans ahead.
I haven’t left yet, but I have a one way ticket from NZ to Lisbon for March, and am starting a job in London for a travel base to go all the places I want to in Europe/North Africa. Luckily, it’s a bit of a coming of age rite in Australasia to have an OE (in case you ever wondered why every hostel is full of Australians, that’s why) so it won’t be too strange a gap on my CV. I’m definitely excited! And Sarajevo has definitely moved up on my to-go list after your recommendations below.
