We Love Documentaries 12 years, 5 months agoI watched Earthlings’ trailer. I can’t get out of my head the skinned dog… Is it worth watching the whole thing ? I’m interested by the topic but I don’t want to have nightmares for weeks !
-
I just watched the whole thing a couple of days ago. It’s very disturbing but worth it. I don’t have a strong stomach for that kind of stuff at all but I made it through it. The skinned dog is definitely the worst part of the whole film in my opinion. I did have emotional outbursts for the rest of the day for seemingly silly things which I think…[Read more]

We Love Documentaries 12 years, 5 months agoThis is kind of a “duh” rec, but I wasn’t born yet when Ken Burns’ documentary “The Civil War” aired and hadn’t heard of it until recently even though it’s apparently super famous. I just watched it a few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it.

We Love Documentaries 12 years, 5 months agoTying the Knot, The Business of Being Born, and Hell House are really good documentaries! You should go watch them. All of them are on Netflix instant watch (or at least they were in the past).

TexaStraddle 12 years, 5 months agoGUYZ LETS TALK ABOUT TEXAS.
-
I am moving to Texas in August. I know nothing about it except that it’s hot and big and part of it used to be Mexico? And I guess it’s where I’ll be going to grad school.
ANYWAY. How’s, uh, Texas? Awesome? I’m hoping it’s awesome. Or at least not completely not-Awesome.-
lol depends on what part…so what part? I live all over texas depending on what’s going on. But in my experience, it’s pretty awesome :)
-
I’ll be in Houston, not sure which part yet. I’m aiming for Montrose ’cause I hear it’s the gayest.
-
houston is pretty gay. my ex went/goes to school there, so i’m totally avoiding houston. HAVE FUN THOUGH!

Woo! Houston is the best :D
-
Moving to Texas in August should be super, duper fun for you. It’s only going to be about 154 degrees. Houston is a great city though, besides the weather. I’m from/live in Dallas and Houston is definitely the more laid back of the two cities.
