note: in the chat plug-in w/out video, you have the option to create public, password-protected or invite-only (private) rooms.

also you can pop-out the chat box and continue browsing AS w/out leaving the chat (unlike the video chat version)-
also also you can set your status on the other one AND be invisible. I AM JUST SAYING.

the one you’re already using is fine for you, actually. but it’s retarded for us as a business to like, not have the chat room for our website on our actual website so we get the traffic/stats/etc from it. i mean actually we’ve been talking about how to rectify this since the chat room was created

Out of curiosity, what happened yesterday with the tinychat on the front page thing? I noticed it was working during the afternoon but by the time I got home from work, it was no longer there.

I don’t mind not having the video chat feature but then I don’t go on cam. I know the cam function adds a little more fun to the chat room sometimes but I would rather you spend money on something else. Or maybe those of us who want it could donate to have the video feature?

Idk, most of us are pretty attached to the video. I think most of us would agree that we’d rather you spend money on something else.

the money would even out to what we’re losing by letting people build their social networks offsite, which makes everyone who knows anything about business facepalm for life. we just want to have things happen on site and we will make/keep it special

haha yeah.. the fact people actually had to find the group etc means trolls dont know it exists/isnt worth the effort. i mean technically if AS had its own chat you just put it in the autochat group since it alerady has like 150 people right now

So it would be impossible to have an on-site chat w/ a camera option? I would use it anyways, because I love Autostraddle and want to make you happy, but I really like having the video.

I use the one pc that doesn’t have a webcam so I wouldn’t really miss that feature (plus going to ASS when people are on cam and you can’t be makes you feel like a major creeper so yeah :/)

The Bon Iver is pretty good. I absolutely adore the song Holocene. and Perth. Actually the whole album.
I’ve been meaning to check out The Antlers and have heard maybe one song off that album, but so far so good!

I would definitely recommend The Antlers. I’m in love with Putting the Dog to Sleep and I Don’t Want Love. And French Exit. Definitely French Exit.

You Antler’s fans MIGHT like this band called Acrylics. You could just DL their only album, Lives and Treasures…. or just listen to Nightwatch and Asian Pear (both definitely, as they have different singers)
But they’re not LIKE the Antlers they just kinda come to mind.
