I like all the characters, I just find the Tam siblings’ story to be the most interesting. And I suppose I see a lot of myself in Simon: very nerdy and good at academics, but often lacking “common sense,” and HOPELESS at talking to people I find attractive. His scenes with Kaylee are the cutest ever, partly because Simon is so inept at expressing his feelings to her. :)
And I’m find that in re-watching the series, Mal and his romance with Inara are a lot more compelling to me. When I saw it the first time, their mutual attraction seemed to come out of nowhere in the episodes that focused on them – but now I can see that it was there from the very beginning.
