Autostraddle Sports Club 12 years, 3 months agoOn a replay of the game, when they were showing the celebrations I noticed a US bench player with an undercut very similar to one Landstrom of Sweden has. Anyone have an idea who this was? She had the purple vest thingy on so I couldn’t see her number or name.

One of the most exciting matches I’ve seen in a long, long time. Crazy highs and lows. Still can’t get over that long cross from Rapinoe to Abby for the header…amazing!

That game was awesome. At first i was with brasil (latin stuff) But later when i saw the USA game, man. They deserve to win. I was talking with my girlfriend in skype and watching the game. And the 2nd goal in the last minute, i scream so hard that she get mad (apparently left her deaf)

Autostraddle Sports Club 12 years, 4 months agoFuck Brazil, both of their goals were bad calls. The penalty never should’ve been called and the other goal was offside. And I remember now why I can’t stand Marta, she needs to stop with the constant whining and diving. By the end the entire Brazilian team was engaging in one long dive and faked injury.

I thought Brazil deserved to be ahead on merit…until all the shenanigans started. Thoroughly unimpressed, if I wanted to see a bunch of drama queens falling over I’d watch the blokes play.
Bloody fantastic cross and goal to level though! Hope you’ve got a better record with penalties than England…

As a neutral, I have to say that was absolutely shocking. Solo did absolutely nothing wrong, you’ve been robbed USA!

I’ve been going ballistic at the calls the ref has and hasn’t made. That PK is so ridiculous, it wasn’t a red card, it wasn’t a foul, and then the fucking encroachment call. I’m still shaking with rage.

and although I am happy for Japan I admit that I wanted Germany to go through, they are hosting such a wonderful World Cup that I felt they deserved to go further than quarterfinals

not thrilled with the US’s performance, but it was inevitable with the way they wasted so many chances and their lack of finishing. Either they have to play better against Brazil or they’ll be coming home soon.

This WC is driving me insane, all of the games are great. US could do with better distribution and more patience in the final third of the field, esp from the center mids.

Are you capable of instilling in yourself a sense of panic? Works like a charm for me :P
Also, separating up what you need to write/edit/do into smaller chunks, and then giving yourself a certain time frame to get a chunk done. Then DO it. Preferably in a place where there are no distractions. Give yourself a timeline, and stick to it.…[Read more]
