Hi folks! I’m a former page/circ clerk/doer-of-things in libraries… After eight years of it I’ve stepped away for a bit to do other things, but the thought of getting an MLIS is never totally lost!

I love being a librarian, but there are so many other cool things you can do in the library without a degree– I have co-workers that basically get paid to play with tech + teens for a living and only have a HS diploma.   Oh, it’s not the debt so much as that I’m not ready to go back to school or settle down with a “real” job yet. But someday!

    I found my MLIS easier than my undergrad–if that makes any difference in the future! No pressure, though, because the job market can be brutal regardless (I work outside of libraries at the moment)
