The Great Library of Autostraddle 12 years agoI started a new commute that involves one hour of reading time on the metro/bus instead of 30 minutes spent cursing traffic. So my books are in my bag… not on my nightstand. I think this still counts.

I read Wittgenstein’s Mistress, which was lovely and really thought-provoking, but nothing else. What’s Vanishing Point like? I’d be interested in reading more of his books.

I read and loved Wittgenstein’s Mistress, it managed to both completely engage me, and make me feel completely insane. Vanishing point is slight more coherent and cohesive, which isn’t saying much, but it’s kind of along the same lines. It’s a much quicker read. Highly recommended.

I started teaching summer school and lost my motivation to do anything other than sleep/teach/eat food/watch The Office. In the middle of Cultureshock, a book about the psychology of parenting. Really interesting and highly recommend!
