Doctor Whovians 11 years, 11 months agoY’all, I have my Eleventh Doctor costume all set for Halloween. I am SO. PSYCHED. I even found a cheap little sonic screwdriver toy with an LED light and suspenders. Of course, I’ll be wearing a bowtie.

Doctor Whovians 11 years, 12 months agoi’m a new DW fan. DW came into my life just a month ago. somehow i managed to watch all six seasons while working 60 hours/week. yes, i’m new. but i sure am devoted. :)

I liked it. Not one of my favorite episodes, but I think they did a good job of wrapping everything up without it feeling too rushed. Amy finally got to do something interesting, and Rory was a bamf as always. I’m still not sure about River’s relationship with the Doctor; I’d prefer they show, not tell. I really enjoyed most of it — I love the plot twists of NewWho under Moffatt. But the wedding ceremony really bothered me: River never consents. Does this bother anyone else?

Sooo how do you ladies deal with men who think that feminism is personally attacking them, and not the overarching patriarchal system and society?

What really pisses me off is when they openly recognize class privilege but when it comes to racism/sexism, you can get them to admit that it exists but it’s like “well yeah it exists, but youre just being sensitive. lololol :) i looovvveee women tho, im not sexist so I dont wanna worry about it”

Yeah, that is especially frustrating. I guess this is another version of what Annika called The Douchebag Purge. Now you know who the douches are, so you can know not to fully trust them or just avoid them altogether!
