I’ve heard. It is definitely on my to-read list. I loved The Virgin Suicides and now Middlesex so It’s likely I’ll feel the same way about The Marriage Plot. Hopefully, anyway.

I loved Middlesex but I thought The Marriage Plot was meh. But you probably already know what I think about it since I wrote a review about it for this site lol.

The Great Library of Autostraddle 11 years, 10 months agoI just finished reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Franzen and it was so good. Imaginative, a really sweet/funny narrator, and cleverly written and designed. It’s a bittersweet story about fathers and 9/11 and being a child in a big city.

Oh my goodness, I’m reading this right now and I’m in love with it! It’s already made me cry a few times. And Everything is Illuminated is super good – I’ve been making all my friends read it, haha. Jonathan Safran Foer is seriously talented.

I just returned from New Orleans for college break and am in the same boat. I’m going away on vacation for new years but I’m underaged and there doesn’t seem to be anything fun in boston for us 20 year-olds (5 more months!). If you think of anything fun let me know, maybe we’ll meet up when I get back from vacation?

The Great Library of Autostraddle 11 years, 11 months agoI just finished rereading A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the second and third book in the trilogy- can’t believe I never finished it!
Also just read Less Than Zero by Brett Easton Ellis and I basically want to read everything he has written ever!-
