More Shirley Jackson @internrachel and @julia1. This time it was We Have Always Lived in the Castle, 214 pgs. The build-up in the beginning was a little slow (and I’m reading two other books right now so I wasn’t entirely focused) but once I got about 50 pgs in I was totally hooked. I read most of it on the (ridiculous) subway rides I had yesterday and it was just totally great. There’s small-town psychology, a sweet but disturbing family dynamic and one of my favorite literary cats. So read it because it’s great!
