Hey brandym, love your post, completely agree! We really need to figure something out, I am tired of being assumed straight -.- plus I agree…you can’t reject people who are femme from your social circle just because it does not seem gay enough :/ wouldn’t wanna be friends with superficial people like that…but this just shows that someting needs to be done.

Yes it really is…I hope we will find a way to stay femme but at the same time to get acknowledged as queer…its not easy :/ I have a little rainbow bracelet not that it makes a huge difference but sometimes it helps you to get some attention…but its all about the eye contact…they just know then and that might get you some action ;) To me its harder not to get recognised by ‘straight’ people or people you meet in everyday life in general…just because you are girly and like girls…they always question your sexuality or make you feel as if you have to justify yourself! I am definitely not cutting my hair :)
OMG I KNOW. Just last night some of my friends were teasing me about not seeming gay. It’s SUPER frustrating. I wish I had $1 for every time I get offered a threesome. I would be rich lol

Me too!!! I would have so much money :D its just frustating not being seen for who you are:/ The worst is if you go out and obviously you want to look hot…but all you end up with the wrong attention from the wrong people :/
I always feel like sticking a piece of paper on my forehead ‘I am femme but yess I am gay and no I do not want a threesome! It looks nice though :)
btw only just recently bought a mug…rainbow colours and says ‘nobody knows I’m gay’ on it…working wonders at uni..makes coming out incredibly easy…and the way people try to sneakily stare at it is hilarious…try it! :D
