Traxx has gotten better. At least on Saturday nights. I mostly go just to dance and not meet people. But you are right. The people my age are harder to find for sure here. Traxx is still a total sausage fest but it can be fun on Saturdays. When I lived right in town I would go there before they started charging and play pool with friends until I felt like dancing. And they make really strong drinks, so they’ve got that going for them. ;)

I was actually surprised that last saturday night there were more gay women than men there. Because you are right. It usually is a sausage fest. But I think it is turning around. Scotty makes some hella strong drinks. Could barely drink my long island.

whut. I mean, I haven’t been there in about 6 months but I can’t recall ever seeing more than a handful of queer(looking) women. I always end up dancing with gay boys. I’m sad I missed the party!

I’ve heard of it! I remember that when I went to Blue Lake there were always lots of campers from Traverse City. And this one guy in my committee for a Model UN conference. He was a douche, though.

we went to a few wineries on the Old Mission Peninsula. It is so lovely up there.

It’s very pretty. But I have lived here most of my life so I forget sometimes. Did you guys stop at Sidetraxx? It’s the gay bar. Though most out of towners don’t know it exists.

No, I was with a straight friend of mine and her boyfriend visiting from England. So no gay bars. Maybe next time I’m up we can have a mini straddler meetup, there’s a couple of other ppl from the Traverse area in this group!

I saw that. Though I do not know a ton of people in the gay community here as I haven’t been completely out for very long. I mostly just know those that visit sidetraxx lol.

i’m near novi/pontiac/northville/livonia (hopefully one of these will ring a bell? suburbs are awful creatures). maybe we could all go for lunch or coffee somewhere in between everyone.

Cheboygan I think is like an hour to hour and a half from here. Not quite sure exactly.
