I’m freaking out. I have a networking event tomorrow night with a bunch of people I’ve never met.
-
Woo I survived without having a panic attack. I did primarily sit in the corner and quietly watch everyone, but I got a little more social as it went on and did end up actually talking to people.
-
A lot of times these events are never bad as you think they will be. It just so happens when one is very awkward/uncomfortable or doesn’t go well, I take it superhard and it makes me want to stop trying. But usually it works out and like anything else, you get better at it the more you do it! Congrats on making it through!
-
good for you for going and for making the best of it. glad you got to talk to some people. *gives you a point*

Omnivorous Atheist/Skeptic queer geeks 12 years, 3 months agoSo some lady came up to me at work the other day looking for Gouda cheese, because some quack on Dr. Oz said that eating two slices of Gouda a day was good for your heart. I hear Dr. Oz and all I can think is “quack quack quack”
-
Oh I found a link:
http://healthybodydaily.com/dr-oz-cancer/dr-oz-gouda-cheese-can-reduce-cancer-risk-three-secret-weapons-to-prevent-cancer
Ha the cheeses he named aren’t even “hard” cheeses. They all fall in the semi-soft category, LOL -
You say “quack quack quack” and all I can think is “I am Docteur LeQuack. Where eez ze pay-shaunt?”
That being said, wut. According to Wikipedia K2 is found in all sorts of meats, dairy, eggs, and natto (fermented bean paste). I’m betting Dr Oz is getting some kind of monetary compensation from cheese manufacturers.
-
oh geez, I love Doctor LeQuack. Courage the Cowardly dog is one of the best cartoons ever!
-
I only know it through friends, unfortunately, but yep!
