Tarot School 9 years ago Hey guys! I was working on my journal exercises this morning, and I pulled the same card twice for two different purposes. I was so worried the second time, I didn’t know if I had shuffled badly and needed to do it again, or if this was totally cool, I should go where the deck wanted me to go. I ended up going with it, and the reading I gave made plenty of sense. I just thought it was so odd that I got the same card at the top of the deck twice. Like after two shuffles and everything!
Has this ever happened to someone here before? What did you do?
I haven’t gotten that exact situation before, but I’ve definitely had cards repeat across readings in a way that seemed improbable. I think go for it! If you know you’ve shuffled adequately, and the reading makes sense, it sounds kosher to me.
I have this happen sometimes if a card is kind of the theme of my life at the time, or if it’s something I need to do that I keep ignoring.
