I’m going to Italy and France with my family a little later in the year – does anyone know of any non-tourist things to do/places to go? We’re trying to avoid the main tourist areas (though we will do the usual course of museums, galleries and monuments in the main cities), so any advice would be great!

Heading to Sicily June 20-28th and Tuscany June28-July5th. Any must see spots, dining or entertainment suggestions?
