Genderstraddlers 9 years, 4 months agoHello?!!?? What would you folks think of a gender clueless, physiological male being a part of this group?
-
Well the term “physiological male” is problematic. Most trans people prefer (coercively) assigned sex at birth language. For example I was coercively assigned female at birth, or cafab or afab. Most trans people don’t appreciate having their bodies gendered against their will. And “male bodied” or whatever *is* gendering.
But I don’t…[Read more]

Genderstraddlers 9 years, 4 months agoI’m thinking about home decor, and what a gender-neutral interior design might be. Is it me, or are “masculine” homes devoid of fun colors?! Not that monochrome in grays and beige is bad, but I want to keep my bright colors and still be gender-neutral dag nabbit!

When I decorated my room recently, I combined earth tones (gray, brown) with a bright red to have a bit of extra color. I feel like it’s fairly gender neutral and the bright color could be replaced with anything that could match that scheme (a lot of bright colors don’t work with earth tones, so it’s a trick to get one that is complementary). I…[Read more]

Cool, thanks for the thought-food. I’m currently living with the parental unit, but at some point within the next year I’ll be moving out, so interior decorating has been on my mind. :)

You’re welcome. Good luck with the move!
