TV 12 years, 5 months agoAlright ladies, let’s talk about how awesome Community is.
-
love love love that show
the episode with lesbian Britta had me reaching for the remote to pause because I couldn’t stop laughing-
That episode was amazing! So damn funny.
-
-
Let’s talk about how adorable Allison Brie is.
-
I love the paintball episodes because she is such a badass.
-
-
Hahaha. I officially love the phrase “friend of Ellen” as a euphemism for gay lady. Britta and Britta’s notgay lady friend were suuuper hot in that episode.
-
“friend of ellen” beats “friend of dorothy any day”

TV 12 years, 5 months agoAny Modern Family fans out there? I think it’s one of the best thing on TV right now, if not the best
-
not to mention Sofia Vergara is super hot

I really want Alex to come out as a lesbian or bisexual lady at some point on the show. I don’t know. She just vibes to me. She has definitely been known to wear flannel, and also pitched a fit when her mom tried to get her to wear a dress. Plus she plays cello and lacrosse, which are highly gay extracurriculars.
-
yeah, I totally didn’t buy that storyline about how Alex had a crush on some boy and told him that in front of his entire soccer team.
Alex = We accept her! We accept her! One of us! One of us!

Omnivorous Atheist/Skeptic queer geeks 12 years, 5 months agoOMG THOR!!! Who’s seen it? Who wants to talk about it? Jeebus, the scene after the credits??!!! Auuugghh!! I can’t wait for Captain America (which happens to release on my birthday)
-
I loved Thor, that scene after the credits was so great. Also, I now want Sif/Darcy fanfiction.
-
I definitely enjoyed it, though I didn’t really feel any chemistry between Natalie Portman’s character and Thor. I enjoyed the Asgard parts quite a bit, bit I felt like there should have been a bit more time with Thor actually on Earth. Also, I generally prefer Loki as more of a general trickster rather than a petulant whiner, but hopefully…[Read more]

Natalie Portman never establishes chemistry. I am not sure she is capable of emoting that much. Sif is the woman of my dreams. I would agree with wishing there was more Earth story development.

We Love Documentaries 12 years, 5 months ago“Jesus Camp” anyone? I would have to say it’s my favorite. It’s terrifying to see how indoctrinated those poor little kids are, but it’s pretty good.
-
“Let me say something about Harry Potter. Warlocks are enemies of god! And I don’t care what kind of hero they are, they are enemies of God! And had it been in the old testament, Harry Potter would have been put to death! You don’t make heroes out of warlocks!”
-
I loved “Jesus Camp” except that I was also simultaneously terrified. I feel like if my mom had taken just a few different turns that my life could have somehow ended up like that… *shudder*
-
scared the SHIT out of me, wow. even just the small slice of homeschooling they showed was absolutely terrifying (full disclaimer: i’m a teacher)
-
If you liked Jesus Camp you should also check out 12th & Delaware, a documentary about the abortion debate by the same people. It is about a street corner in Florida with a women’s health clinic that performs abortions on one side, and an anti-choice “crisis pregnancy center” on the other, and interviews people at both as well as their customers.
-
Whoo… I just saw these replies lol. @Dani: I, too, was terrified. I watched it with my girlfriend and she still brings it up, so I think she might be scarred for life :S
We both come from really conservative religious backgrounds.
@Erda: Thank you for the suggestion, I will have to check that one out.
