Tarot School 8 years, 1 month agoSo, I’m struggling with some internalized sexism. Mostly I’ve gotten really femme over the years and these days my dominant personality trait seems to get read as “sweet” or “empathetic.” I pride myself at being better at emotions than other folks working in my field, but I also sort of hate being “the sweet girl” instead of “the smart girl.” I…[Read more]

Fencestraddlers 8 years, 2 months agoHey so, some validation is needed: its totally normal to be in a committed relationship with a dude or whatever and just miss the female body right?
I know its fine but it kinda, at more vulnerable moments, makes me feel like a “greedy” bi trope, you know.Thoughts?
-
Oh my god yes. I suspect that if I stay with my current dude long-term I will absolutely need to do some open or poly stuff at some point. I tend to think it’s because I’m way further to the lesbian end of the spectrum than the other end, but it’s probably totally justified even without that.
-
That feels so good to hear! I feel like I’m drifting that way too. I just – ladies are so cool, and dudes are alright – I just happen to be in love with one :P
But with open stuff my worry all like the anti-bi rhetoric like oh “bi folk aren’t loyal” etc
Like all the things in Heather Hogans tv recap today – pertinent.
Plus do ladies even…[Read more]

Yeah I don’t know about that one. There’s anti-bi thinking all over the place, so being open or poly can definitely be hard. Some people manage it, and manage to form communities where people are ok with it, but I sure haven’t had any luck with that yet…

I think that’s totally fine! And I hear you about being closer to the lesbian end of the spectrum – I define myself as a misandrist who makes exceptions…

i would just like to add my 2 cents to this convo…which is i agree with everything that was already said.

Tarot School 8 years, 2 months agoThis is going to sound terribly rude, but I don’t feel a connection to the deck I own anymore. They feel like I’m shuffling impartial playing cards. I’m second-guessing everything and don’t trust any of the readings anymore. HELP! Does anyone have any advice at all on getting past this? Has it ever happened to you before?

TravelStraddle 8 years, 2 months agoIn a couple weeks I’ll be headed to Vancouver (Canada) for a week and a half. The first week (29thβ4th) i’ll be busy during the days, but may be free at nights; the rest of the time (5thβ7th) i’ll be free, modulo hanging out with an old friend. Does anyone have suggestions on places to eat, nightlife events, other spots to visit? Or anyone fee…[Read more]
