The 22-Minute “Anyone But Me” Finale is Here

After 26 episodes and a ton of well-deserved awards later, Anyone But Me ended their three-season run yesterday with a proper 22-minute finale. The story broke ground as one of the most successful lesbian webseries ever, and earned a special place in Autostraddle’s heart (we launched around the same time!) for the awesomeness of its stars, Rachael Hip-Flores and Nicole Pacent, and its directing/producing/writing team of Susan Miller and Tina Cesa Ward. The show will be sorely missed, but y’all get one last chance to savor its awesomeness.

Enjoy:

You can even watch it internationally on YouTube. You have no excuse to not watch/appreciate this.

  1. This series helped me accept my sexuality. More so than The L Word, this show felt real. I felt like it was okay to be gay after watching this. So, as superfan, I am sad to see it go. Going to miss Vivster. :(

  2. I appreciated this show because it was of a higher quality in terms of the writing/production than…well, the vast majority of other queer-centric shows airing at the same time, both on TV and the web. It started a little rough but definitely found its groove and made it work. Cheers to the whole team that made it happen.

  3. I’m going to miss Anyone But Me, it was the first queer web series I really got into. It was totally bittersweet to watch the finale, but I thought it was a good ending.

  4. Thank you to Autostraddle for all your love and support of “Anyone But Me” through the years. So very appreciated.

And thanks to all our wonderful fans. It’s been a great run.

  5. HOLY F”N CRAP!!! This is my life this week. The only way to explain my mother’s resurgence in my life to my friends is to say “Now this story would only make sense if my mother was a part of the canadian equivalent of the CIA… for ten years….which I’m pretty sure her allergies exempt her from.”
I guess I wish this storyline would continue if only to tell me what to do….

  6. This was a great webseries with well-thought out dialogue and good acting. Gonna miss Anyone But Me for sure.

  7. I watched this entire series in the past two days, and now I don’t know what to do with my time.

I haven’t even watched it but I’m SO EXCITED AND SAD. Mixed emotions right now.

    • Just as I suspected… I’m still completely infatuated with Nicole Pacent. Shit.

Fantastic directing for the finale, especially the opening scene.
