Anonymous Sex Toy Review: The Sona 2 Cruise

I’ve had the privilege in my life to try out many air-pressure toys, from Satisfyer, Womanizer, We-Vibe Melt and now Lelo. Some might say that is TOO many air-pressure toys! Surely they can’t feel that different? Wrong! Each toy is distinguishable in terms of strength, sound, how it fits in your hands, and how it suctions on your bod. While I could write a comprehensive article about the differences between all of them, I’m going to focus on my newest addition: The Sona Cruise 2 by Lelo.

Material: Silicone / ABS Plastic
Color: Purple or Black
Power Source: USB Rechargable
Length: 4.37 inches
Diameter: 2.2 inches

Lelo has not been my favorite brand, and after hearing reports about the Sona Cruise causing clits to bleed, I was nervous to put this on my body. However, things have changed since 2018 and the Sona Cruise 2 came swinging at me with an updated design and unexpected power.

Let’s start this review with what everyone really wants to know: Just how strong is the Sona Cruise 2? Like really REALLY strong. Like I kept trying to push the minus button to get it to go lower. Have you ever wanted your clit just HAMMERED? Just pounded on? Then this is your toy!

Did it make me come? Sure did! Did I enjoy the process? Not really. I like strong toys, while The Magic Wand is my go-to, The Palm Power, Melt and even The Zumio are my bedside companions. The Sona Cruise 2 gives me the sensation of an orgasm being ripped from my body. Like I came, but was I really ready to come? All bodies are different and I don’t doubt this toy could be a savior to some. For folks who like direct and intense stimulation or who have a hard time orgasming with other vibrators, the Sona Cruise 2 could be a lifesaver. I’ve read enough reviews singing its praises to realize that it’s a toy many will love.

However, let’s address the other aspects of it’s design as power isn’t the only thing that matters. It’s not a quiet toy and somehow gets a little louder when suctioned to my body. In the grand scheme of air-pressure toys: it’s quieter than Satisfyer toys and louder than Womanizer toys. The shape of the toy is nice, it fits nicely in your hand and the buttons rest where your thumb lays. Frustratingly, the three buttons it has aren’t distinguishable and I found myself repeatedly changing the pattern when I was trying to turn it down. The front of the toy is stubby (compared to The Womanizer Premium) making it a nice toy to use during penetrative sex, however I still found it bulky between two bodies. I prefer toys with longer handles and thinner to go between two or more sweaty bods (The Melt is ideal for this).

Lastly, we need to discuss how this toy fits against a clitoris. Some air-pressure toys come with multiple “heads” of different sizes so you can pick the one that’d best align with your anatomy. Most are also oval in shape, usually sloping or curved. Lelo Cruise 2 is a flat circle–and a small circle at that. It was cumbersome to get Lelo Cruise 2 to fit where I wanted it to fit. I felt like my clitoris/clitoral hood is too large to fit in the Cruise 2, often it was suctioning on the wrong area or I had used my precious masturbation minutes to adhere it properly to my body. Even now, after multiple uses, I don’t know if it ever suctioned to the entirety of my junk. Yes, I know this reads as “my dick’s too big”, but… my dick’s too big.

This will be a toy I’ll keep on hand for emergencies (when all my other go-to toys aren’t charged or clean) but definitely not a favorite.

  1. I bought the sona 2 about a month ago and honestly, you put the exact feelings I had into words. The lowest and I mean LOWEST setting works for me and I feel like the orgasm is being ripped out of me in less than 3 minutes.

  2. I just wanted put a heads up in here that this toy made me bleed today, and when I went online looking for info, it turns out I’m not the only one. Please beware if you have a larger clit.
