  1. That bagel made me emotional. I had a breakfast of bagels and lox in a fancy restaurant with my favorite aunt and uncle during a trip to Seattle several years ago and that trip was one of the happiest times of my life. That breakfast was the last time I saw my uncle alive because he died of cancer a few years later. So that’s a memory I cherish.

  2. If “we are all the same in our struggle for acceptance,” they might as well make a movie about the women’s right to vote and cast male actors as suffragettes. Stonewall is history. The people who tell stories about it have a duty to that history. This white dude had a duty to the people who were actually there, to tell their story, and he failed.

  3. I also need glasses but then my cat went and ate my bra so that isn’t happening. Also there goes trying to save for a-camp next year 🙁 but yay Ellen page! That’s what I’m doing with my life. And watching my cat slip his cone off in his crate.

      • That’s both mean and genius at the same time. That is also why you wear glasses when you browse the internet or else you might just get excited about something that isn’t. The disappointment is real.

  4. Am I the only one that’s really sick of rock or folk dudes trying to legitimize the music of female pop stars by turning their songs into “serious” songs featuring acoustic guitars? To be fair, I think Ryan Adams has a genuine love for Taylor’s music so it seems better than when Travis covered “…Baby One More Time”, but still, I’M SO OVER IT.

  5. It always takes me days to go thru your Also.Also.Also column because I wanna read allll the articles haha. You always manage to find relevant things for me to read. I swear these days autostraddle is pretty much my only desirable source of news haha.

Nice street mural. My friend just created an anti street harassment group/movement and one of the things we will do is wheat paste around town.

I’m 100% for the decriminalization of sex work and it pisses me off that all these celebrities are against it. Sex workers should be able to access all their human rights!

Haha the Rebecca Black article. Not gonna lie I definitely mocked that video but wow I feel bad that it is still weird and hard to go thru life as her. An interesting kind of problem but bullying sucks.

I want that bagel. I want someone to make me a bagel just like that so I don’t have to figure out the complicated science behind it haha. I wish I saw that earlier since we just had a bagel party a few days ago; (girl was traveling to NY/NJ and brought us back fresh bagels so we could eat them here the day of, nommmz.)

Did you get new glasses? Funny you posted that cause just last week I got a new pair of glasses for the first time in 7 years!! I’ve been using contacts only the last 7 years and finally decided to get some nice back up glasses. They’re ray bans and I really like them!
