  1. I thought I was losing my mind with the cable guy piece too! I loved it and was like “this cannot possibly be plagiarized??? but i know i have read it somewhere???” but then I saw someone say on twitter that the author had a popular tweet thread earlier in the year with some of the same stories. The one I knew I had heard before was the woman with the fox news addicted horrible husband who asks the author to fix their cable so he will be angry at obama instead of her.

  2. That “I was a cable guy” article was one of the best things I’ve read in a long long time. It resonated with me.

    I worked in construction. Guys would pee wherever, they didn’t have to pull their pants down to go. And those porta potties the doors open outward. Easy to block. It’s a nasty trick when it’s 90 degrees and humid to block the door with an excavator bucket.
