  1. I’ve been waiting all my life for a movie about Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West. ALL MY LIFE.

I’m gonna spend the rest of the day just thinking about my dream cast. Suggestions are welcome.

    • I have to admit I still can’t imagine another person that isn’t Janet McTeer to be Vita. She was amazing in Portrait of a Marriage. Who would be your dream Virginia?

  2. I would like to receive that first paragraph pep talk as a message, email, text, or any other form of communication, from anyone, every day, for the next unspecified amount of time.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Fun Fact, Lilacs have a very long blooming season in never-quite-exits-spring-for-summer Juneau, which made them very popular on the street where my Aunt lives. They hung down over the sidewalk for the whole quarter mile walk to library, and is probably why I did all that reading in the actual building.

Ahem, also slacks have never looked as good as they look on greyscale Andros.

  4. I just want to add a thought. On this day of independence of our country, I hope you all will remember to celebrate the hard won escape from the past stereotype of females as being ” inferior” to males in all manners, and be full of the reality that we are really the most powerful, and the only true hope for humanity to survive the hating and warring prevalent instinct of so many of the male gender.
Be proud of yourself and your accomplishments, and dismiss your self doubts. You are powerful and brilliant, ….full of love and beautiful,…. all of you in your own special way. And all of us females, together, are absolutely the real hope of the future. ❤️❤️❤️

  5. From Gemma’s article on A Camp:

“‘Maybe what straight men feel like? It’s as though we’ve been given a week off from being prey.’ She was right that straight, white dudes didn’t really have to understand what it was to feel like prey all the time.”

OH MY GOD YES. As a trans woman, this has been one of the biggest social changes I’ve noticed since transitioning. Straight men really do have this sense of invulnerability that they aren’t even aware of.

  6. Oh my God, those 1930s pictures. I just… wow.

“A libertine and rebel, Schwarzenbach defied her wealthy, Nazi-sympathizing family, funding anti-fascist publications and later supporting American unions at the height of the Depression—this is not to mention her adventures hitchhiking across India and Turkey, or the many lesbian affairs.”

Where do I sign up for all of the above, minus the Nazi-sympathizing family?
