Really happy to see Vogue Mexico doing this.
I wanna throw Val Mc Dermids name into the crime writers ring. She’s a Scottish lesbian, who’s written several series, some much lighter than others, some stand-alone novels and short stories too. Some are ”about” lesbians as such, and the rest pretty much have queer characters that just ”are”. Lots of her books are grounded in reality and she has some beautifully honed turns of phrase.

I think so, but then I’ve read all her books in order so it’s hard to imagine NOT doing? It’s one of the lighter/straighter strands of her work ( though Blue Genes is QUEER AF) but you also get a sense of Val in it (she used to be a journalist) and of course you then see how she progresses as a writer, not just stylistically but thematically as she gets more confident.
