Aesthetic Rising: Your Astrological Fashion Forecast Featuring Libra and Scorpio

Hey Libra, what’s up, you look great today! Confession: I totally missed your birthday and I’m sorry. I hope it was everything you ever dreamed of! And I hope you’ll forgive me. Astrologically speaking, you’re the sign that’s most likely to forgive me, because you’re so dang cute and nice all the time. But I always tell Libra’s to stand up for themselves, so if you choose to never speak to me again, that’s also fine and I value your commitment to engaging in conflict for personal growth.

Everyone else: this month’s Aesthetic Rising is a condensed catch-up version and unfortunately, I didn’t have time to include all of your beautiful signs in it. I hope you forgive me too! I’ll be back on astrological track next month, and I’ll have a fashion forecast for you then. If it’s any consolation, these horoscopes are entirely made up and not real whatsoever and for the purpose of entertainment only. Please refer to the horoscopes by Corina Dross for actual life advice from the stars, written by a pro. While you’re waiting for next month’s collages, here’s my fashion advice: buy a sturdy, unattractive jacket for the utilitarian purpose of keeping warm! Winter is coming!

And for Libra and Scorpio, just a reminder that I did my best to create a balanced presentation for different genders, but if you’re personally sad with the representation of your gender identity, I encourage you to choose one item from any of the collages and pair it with the fashion that’s already in your closet.

Your fashion superpower is getting away with patterns like no one else. Mismatching, color-clashing, zig-zags, stars, hearts: you name the wacky pattern, and only a Libra can do it justice. You’re known for your aesthetic sensibility, so you’re the only sign that can wear a polka-dotted trash bag and still make people say, “Ooh la la! fashion!” Remember this, little Libra: nothing is off-limits. You are fashion itself. Also, I included makeup in this collage because have you tried Milk Makeup yet? If anyone can pull off wearing a highlighter that literally makes you look like a dazzling iridescent cyborg hologram, it’s you. That’s right. Looking good is your destiny. Go bravely forward. Follow your dreams.

Jupiter has been in your sign for a while now, how does that feel? I think the benefit for you in this transit is that everyone is looking for a friend, and you’re the perfect friend for everyone. I know, I know, you’re trying to focus on yourself. Sometimes relationships get exhausting. But the coolest thing about Libra energy is that even if you’re an introvert, you still do your best healing in the act of listening and witnessing others, by being present and open and understanding in relationships. I know it’s a delicate balance. People are so in need of the pure and good qualities you bring to a friendship that sometimes you can feel taken advantage of. Protect yourself in these situations, definitely. But at the same time, know that there is a lot of turmoil in this world that you have the ability to transform into beauty.

Wildfang is celebrating your birthday this year by giving you so many Scorpio slogan-themed items for you to choose from. I think the “Get It Together” shirt is especially nice, because it has so many unique uses for your life. On the one hand, you’re the best secret-keeper and advice-giver, so the next time you’re approached by multiple loved ones at the same time who all have different versions of complete meltdowns that they need you to fix, you can just gesture gently towards your shirt to soothe them all. Alternatively, you can also wear the shirt as a reminder to yourself on the days that you’re, as Stef puts it, “Scorpin’ Out.” I also need for you to buy that “Worst Behavior” banner to hang on the wall for your birthday party, so you can channel the energy of everyone’s fave problematic Scorpio, Drake.

Venus has been creeping through your sign lately, which means you could still be cleaning up relationship drama before your birthday party! Or you could be celebrating new love in your life. Or you could just be wondering why neither of these things happen to you, though you wish they would, because both situations would make you less single (right there with you on that one, Scorpio). In any case, I feel like this is a good time to remind you that your greatest strength in love is transformation. When we look back on our lives and think about the relationships that have impacted us, what we remember is the moments that were deep, transformative, and maybe even a little scary at first. But in facing that healthy fear, there’s growth. And that’s what you have to offer people. The true transformative growth that comes from shining a light into the dark places. Maybe just meditate on that strength, though? I still wouldn’t change your Tinder bio to “I’ll shine a light in your dark places” just yet.

  1. That “get it together” shirt is what I needed to see today. I’d buy it, but I bought a bunch of shirts and other stuff on the Internet yesterday.

    • Especially at $40, I will get it together by not buying that shirt. Too many of the things I’ve bought to wear recently have been stolen, destroyed, or covered in mud within six weeks of entering my possession. See the sweet Mike Watt shirt I got to wear twice (mud/dog poo), the WESC jacket someone took at the gay bar, and the new shirt that was in the pocket of the WESC jacket.
