  1. When my wife and I were on vacation in January the resort we stayed at had these VERY FLUFFY WHITE robes JUST like in the movies. They were so great to lounge around in when you’re just fresh outta the shower and there’s nothing like the ocean right in front of you.

    • Seriously, they are so fluffy. I know exactly what you mean. I love when my hotel has the fancy robes. It’s like being a movie star!

  2. Ughhh I really want a fluffy robe to snuggle up in when I’m at home, but I don’t have one and I don’t buy a lot of ‘home stuff’ because of my teaching-abroad type of job (I change location a lot, I feel weird accumulating stuff). Maybe I should make an exception and track down some wearable snuggle.

  3. I love my bathrobe dearly, but my mother keeps not-very-subtly suggesting that perhaps it’s time for a new one. Getting some ideas . . .

    • I like to wear my favorite things until they die a slow and painful death. Usually, someone (my spouse) has to pry the sad, hole-ridden, unwearable item from my hands, so I feel you. RIP old bathrobe. But then I appreciate the new replacement thing so much more!

      • Same here; I still have college clothes, including a sweater that has so many holes and has gotten so thin it now requires an underlayer for public decency. But it’s not *technically* falling apart! This post is actually beginning to convince me that a replacement robe might be acceptable, though.

        But which?

  4. I have had that Wonder Woman bathrobe on my “gifts for mum” Amazon list for YEARS…seriously the woman is a wonder!
But she keeps buying herself new ones. Doomed never to buy. It’s so awesome.

  5. I have been wanting a hooded robe for several years now. I have also been wanting some Harry Potter-related apparel for several years. I think…I think I finally found what I’ve been looking for.

  6. that smoking jacket must be mine. I feel as though I could reach Peak Staycation if I swanned about in such a robe.

  7. You know what I really want though? One of those old-fashioned QUILTED smoking jackets that almost doubles as a jacket. In burgundy of course. Yessss.

    • OH YES. There were so many smoking jackets. I honestly picked this one based on price point and because I liked the piping. They are EXPENSIVE. But you can have the quilted burgundy jacket of your dreams.

Like this velvet one for $495.95: http://amzn.to/1wY0Ota

Or this blue one for $1,995.00: http://bit.ly/1B4WlzE

      Have at.

      • Oh my god those are INTENSE!!! I love the blue one, why do I have such expensive tastes?? Also I did not realise Kingsman was an actual clothiers!

        • I know, right?! I would be afraid to actually wear or even touch with my grubby fingers a $1995 piece of clothing.

  8. Thanks for this! Any advice on where to find a good sweatshirt robe? I’ve been looking in vain for awhile now…
