Win Tickets to DeAnne Smith’s Girl-on-Girl-on-Girl Comedy Show!

Remember when DeAnne Smith promised to come to your North American town and make you laugh? She wasn’t kidding. In fact, she’ll be in Boston this Sunday! And she won’t be alone. Jess Solman will be there too! Who is jess Solman you may be asking yourself. Well, the website describes Jess as a “war crimes lawyer-turned-comic.” Who wouldn’t pay money just to hear how that happened.

But here is the thing. Not ALL of you will have to pay said money. Because you, yes YOU, are super special unicorns and DeAnne loves your avatars so much she wants to give away FREE tickets to some crazy lucky Autostraddlers.

But before we get to all that here’s the info for the show:

Girl on Girl on Girl Comedy Show
Sunday, October 2nd @ 8:30pm
$10 in advance, $15 at the door
OBERON
(The Second Stage of the American Repertory Theater)
2 Arrow Street
Cambridge, MA

Some of you won’t be paying $15 or $10 or even $1. You will be paying $0 for a night of unparalleled hilarity! Here is where I tell you how to get free tickets. Are you paying attention? Good.

TO WIN FREE DOUBLE PASSES TO THE GIRL-ON-GIRL ON GIRL COMEDY SHOW

1. E-mail DeAnne at comideanne [at] gmail [dot] com

IT’S THAT SIMPLE.

The first five people to e-mail her will win a double pass! That means you can take your girlfriend or the girl you want to be your girlfriend or really anybody who likes to laugh. And if you are a straggler who is reading this on Sunday morning and thinking “damn, I bet five people have already e-mailed her,” you should probs e-mail her anyway. People like getting mail.

Even if you aren’t one of the lucky few, you can get more info and buy tickets at the OBERON website or call 866-811-4111. Then comeback here on Monday and gloat about how great the show was.

  1. eeee i actually live in cambridge, so close to the oberon that i can see it from my living room window! in fact i just looked at it right now in hopes that somehow that will increase my chances of having emailed in time!

    • i did in fact get in with my girlfriend for free and laughed really hard! deanne also threw me a treat from the stage and pointed out my gf as wearing a flannel shirt in a “trendy hipster ironic throwback” way. when we met her briefly after the show though and thanked her for the tickets she was really nice, and when my gf pointed out that she was wearing her shirt because it was super soft and comfy, deanne touched it and agreed that the softness was a totally justifiable reason. we also talked a little about ukuleles because she played one in her act and my gf and i both play them, and basically what i’m saying is that she was hilarious and sweet and also had really nice hair and i liked her outfit.

tl;dr – it was really great; thank you autostraddle and deanne!

      • also – the fact that i read this/emailed in time to win these tickets makes me feel like from here on out, my habit of compulsively checking autostraddle is TOTALLY JUSTIFIED.

  2. I’ll be in Boston in November, is there anything I can win free tickets to that month? Also, anyone who wants to show me around? It will be my first time in Boston.

  3. ATTENTION: I won tickets but (DYING!!) I can no longer go. DOES ANYONE WANT MINE, send me a message and I will tell you the name they are under. Hopefully that would work!

  4. I just went and am BASKING IN THE AWESOME.

I almost said hi to DeAnne afterwards but I was shy and felt awkward so I just kind of shuffled away BUT STILL. Awesome.
